Created in 1999, the St. Joe Community Foundation provides grants to other 501(C)(3) entities in Northwest Florida, with a focus on Bay and Walton counties, in the areas of education, environmental stewardship, building healthier communities, and supporting cultural arts. The Foundation is funded exclusively by a transfer fee on the sale of residential real estate in certain communities The St Joe Company develops. This fee applies the first time a property is sold, and on each resale. We believe The St Joe Company is creating communities that will have a long – range impact on the lives of people in the region. The Foundation is a separate entity from The St. Joe Company and has a separate Board of Directors.
